Earlobe reconstruction can repair split, ripped, stretched or unusually large or long earlobes. Injury to the earlobe can result from having heavy earrings, acute trauma, gauging, etc. Depending on your surgical needs, reconstruction can take different forms.
In all methods, the skin lining the slot is removed, followed by layered repair of the earlobe. Sutures are removed 7-14 days after the procedure.
